Street Art/Right to the City

Leading Researcher: Maria Raquel Guimarães

"Street Art/Right to the City" is a research project that intends to discuss the legal regime of graffiti and urban art (street art), from the perspective of Portuguese law and Brazilian law, but also taking a close look to other European systems, as the Spanish system.
The researchers come from CIJE and CEI (Centro de Estudos Interculturais do Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Politécnico do Porto(;  Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique; (Portugal); Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte; Fundação Escola Superior do Ministério Público, Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil); Universidad de Santiago de Compostela,  Universidad de Cádiz and UNED Madrid (Spain); and Universidad Alberto Hurtado, Santiago do Chile (Chile).

Main research fields: Legal (personality rights, criminal and civil liability, copyright, cultural criminology, transgressive art), economical, social and cultural aspects.
