Football Law Course

With the "Football Law Course", the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Justice (CIJ) purpose has been to expand the offer of non-degree-level specialized training courses, positioning themselves in a complex and mediatic area, across several areas of law, and with a relevant interdisciplinary dimension.

Due to the program and the experience of its teachers, the course stood out for its eminently practical and specialized character and for its relevant international dimension, reflected in the presence of current and previous representatives of ECA, UEFA and FIFA.

The duration was 90 hours of face-to-face training (teaching part), plus 4 hours of the opening conference, making a total of 94 hours of face-to-face training, having a very wide universe of recipients. Thus, it was addressed, preferably, to lawyers and final students of the Law Degree, but also to all those who, due to their professional experience as employees of sports clubs, sports societies, professional leagues and sports federations, and as sports managers, managers sports and intermediary, deal with issues related to the Law of Football. The researcher Juliana Ferraz Coutinho was in charge of the scientific coordination.
