Other academic positions: since 2009, it has been a member of the Joint Commission of the Holy See-Portuguese Republic, a mixed international commission to supervise the application of the 2004 Concordat; he is, since 2015, Coordinator of the Study Group Libertas Religionis, a consortium of professors connected to the CIJE, research center of the Faculty of Law of the University of Oporto.
